How to: Use WordPress Debug

This guide will: Explain how WordPress Debug works and its benefits to you.

We’ve created a WordPress debug log feature in our platform. A WordPress debug log helps site administrators identify and fix errors with their WordPress site.

Enabling this platform feature is helpful for testing and development purposes, but if it’s left on for a live or production site, it’ll slow down the site and potentially eat up all the disk space.
WordPress Debug helps you remember to disable the debug log once you’ve finished using it.
With WordPress Debug, you can:
Enable it or disable the debug log at the flip of a toggle
Check the debug log status from your website dashboard



Log in to the Nimbus platform, head to the ‘Websites’ overview, and select the appropriate WordPress site.


Scroll down to the ‘Application’ section. ‘Debug Log’ is at the bottom. When the debug log is disabled, the following message appears:

“The WordPress debug log is disabled. This is ideal for production websites.”



When you enable the debug log, you’ll see a helpful warning message:

“WARNING: WordPress debug log is enabled. This is slowing down your website and using up necessary disk space.”

You can also view the size of the debug log files.


Navigate to the ‘Analytics & Logs’ menu to download or view your website logs.
