To get your domain hosting up and running you will need to add/update a DNS entry. This guide explains what to do to manage this if you would like to utilise our name servers for your DNS. To take advantage of this feature, you’ll have to set your domain to use our name servers, those name servers are listed below. It is best to have your DNS records in place prior to changing your name servers.
DNS management within STORM is within your user dashboard.
Adding a new zone
To add a new zone, click the ‘Add DNS Zone’ button.
Input the domain name into the ‘Name’ field and click the ‘Add DNS Zone’ button again.
This will create the zone on our name servers with a default set of records, ready for editing.
Adding/editing DNS records
Within the DNS section there will be a list of your domains that have zones on our name servers, click the cog to manage the DNS zone for that domain. You can use the search box above the domain list too.
To add a new record, click the ‘Add Record’ button.
Input the name, value and select the record type. The click the save icon to add the record.
To edit an existing record, click the edit icon. Make your adjustment and hit the save icon.
To delete a record, click the delete icon.
Setting DNS records for popular email providers
Follow the steps above to edit a DNS zone then click on the relevant email provider to automatically set the required records.
Using our SPF record wizard
Follow the steps above to edit a DNS zone then click SPF Wizard.
Select the options to build your perfect SPF record then click ‘Add SPF Record’.
Deleting a DNS zone
Within the DNS section there will be a list of your domains that have zones on our name servers, click the X to delete the DNS zone for that domain.
