Whilst the Nimbus Hosting platform is already optimised for site speed by utilising things like NGINX for serving your sites static content, you may also want to consider also using a memory based cache such as Redis to further improve your load times.

Enabling Redis

Redis is installed on all Nimbus Hosting servers by default but due to the resource requirements of Redis it's not enabled by default. To enable Redis on your server please see the guide below:

https://support.nimbushosting.co.uk/support/solutions/articles/36000314293-using-redis-on-your-server

Steps

WordPress does not have native support for Redis so a WordPress plug-in is required to utilise it. Once such plug-in is W3 Total Cache so go ahead and get this installed.

Once installed, go to the caching settings inside of W3 Total cache and configure the settings as below:

Click the Save Settings & Purge Caches button and that's it, you are done!
